Step 0: If you already have an account, open iTunes. From the menu bar choose Store > Sign Out.



Step 1: Click "App Store".

 



Step 2:: To find a free app, click Free App. Example "Path". (Before proceeding to the next step, you must download and Install a free app).

Click "Free"  and click "Install App"

 



Step 3: In the pop-up window, click Create New Apple ID.

 



Step 4: Select "Country" or "Region". Click Continue.

 



Step 5: Click Agree. (Make sure you check the box next to where it says "I have read and agree to the iTunes Terms and Conditions."

 



Step 6: Enter your email address, create your password, continue to create and answer your security question, then enter your birthday. Click Continue.

 



Step 7: Select None as the payment option.
Continue to fill out the required name and address fields. Click "Create Apple ID"

 



Step 8: You'll then see a screen that says 'Verify your Account'. "Click Done" and then check your email for a verification email from App Store.
Open the email and click the link enclosed in the email to activate your account.

Step 9: Done
