How To Install Facebook Chat Heads To iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch

Cover feed replaces the lock screen and home screen. It’s a window into what’s happening with your friends - friends finishing a bike race, your family sharing a meal or an article about your favorite sports team. These are the beautiful, immersive experiences that you get through Home.

You might have missed these updates before, but now they’re a central part of the Home experience. Since Home is both your lock screen and home screen, the content comes right to you. You can flip through to see more stories, and double tap to like what you see.

How To Install Facebook Chat Heads To iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch

Step 0: Jailbreak iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Step 1: Install Facebook App from App Store

Step 2: Install iFile and MobileSubstrate from Cydia.

Step 3: Click this deb link using Safari on your mobile device.

Step 4: You will be prompted by Safari to choose an app with which to open the .deb file. Select iFile.

Step 5: When iFile opens tap the large Installer button.

Step 6: Once installation has completed successfully, tap the Done button at the top right of the screen.

Step 7: Reboot your iOS device then launch the Facebook app from your Springboard.

Step 8: Log into Facebook then tap the button at the top right of the navigation bar to bring your friends list.

Step 9: Select a friend to chat with from the list and you will notice a chat head appear.

Step 10: Tap the home button and thanks to MessageBox the chat head will still be present over your Springboard!
